Notice anything different? Yep! We did some sprucing up. Michael and I were very sick over the weekend, so we haven’t finished everything with the new site layout, like adjusting a few colors, but we’re satisfied with the new look otherwise.
Check out that new logo, right? I’m pretty proud of it, especially considering that I did it while wrapped in a blanket, curled up in the recliner, with a fever and my eyes half-opened. We also have a nifty sticky bar at the top of the page that will stay with you as you scroll. Ah, companionship. You can find our search menu and our social media icons there. You can also find our social media icons on the sidebar and at the bottom of every post. What can I say? We want to be friends!
Speaking of bottom of the page, you’ll also find our Instagram feed down there as well. And there is a picture of the post author at the end of each post (either Michael or myself). It’s a static photo (i.e. it doesn’t change), but I still thought it was a fun little detail.
So, yep. Browse around. Let us know what you think. Let us know if you find anything that isn’t working.
Well, hello friends! I know people don’t say this often, but I’ve had entirely too much coffee. Not today. No, I’m still nursing my first cup, but yesterday? Definitely too much. I stayed up way later than I should have, because I was hopped up on caffeine and a self-imposed season 7 Castle marathon. It was one of those, “I feel fine. I’m not tired at all. No regrets!” and then when I have to wake up at 6:30am, my head is quick to assure me “All the regrets! ALL the regrets!” All of this is moot point, however. Coffee + lack of sleep also seems to give me fits of loopy chattiness.
So, what’s going on here lately? Well, aside from a half bathroom littered with pieces of discarded wallpaper, I updated our Home Tour page. I added photos of our faux sunroom…
some updated backyard photos…
…and a few other rooms, too. You can check it out by clicking on the Home Tour link at the top of the page. I still need to add updated photos of other rooms, like our living room, but first I need to actually take those photos. Which really means, I need to make the rooms look camera ready, but that will just have to wait until we make some actual progress in this bathroom renovation. (I’m calling a plumber about that pipe nonsense today!)
We’re also planning on doing a little updating to the look and function of the blog, so be on the look out for that. I’m not sure when that will happen, but I’m hoping sooner rather than later!
